Long Gone Trailer!

“If time travel were possible, where are all the tourists from the future?” – Stephen Hawking.

I can finally share the trailer I shot for my feature screenplay “Long Gone” last April! Logline: When a young woman visits a mysterious house she inherited from her recently passed brother, she meets a man who claims to be from the future and able to save her brother. Watch the making of here, and if you happen to have a sugar daddy/mommy/great great aunt who wants to invest in film, call me ;p

I Directed A Trailer!

One of the latest features I wrote (and rewrote and rewrote and rewrote) is called Long Gone, a low budget sci-fi drama about a young woman who visits a mysterious house she inherited from her recently passed brother. There she meets a man who claims to be from the future and able to save her brother, if she helps him with a mission. To help pitch the project I directed a trailer for the film last April with the help of an amazing crew and my super supportive bosses. I had the best days of my life again, and I’m soooo happy with the results. The trailer is still being graded (color correction) and mixed and sound designed, so I can’t share it quite yet, but since I’m bursting with excitement and want to share some of the gorgeousness we shot, here are 20 behind the scenes photos…

Hear Me Discuss The Oscars On Dutch Radio & Pick My Own Winners

Last Oscar Night aka Annual Dreamfest I attended a wonderful Oscar viewing party with ballots, Oscars Bingo and pun-y food (Mad Max Curry Road, Bridge of Pies, The Big ShortBread). And while doing so I also chatted with Dutch National Radio Channel 1 to discuss the Oscars, Hollywood Oscar parties, my career and more. If you speak Dutch, head here to listen to the fragment. It’s Part 3, about 12 minutes in.

And while we’re at it, I’d just like to hand out my personal Oscars…

“If.” Delft Screening & Press

Algemeen Dagblad Delft shanice kammingaYesterday I did a Q&A in Filmhuis Lumen Delft for my short film If., and it was a great success (imagine Borat’s voice here). Filmhuis Lumen Delft is screening the short film I wrote, produced and starred in ahead of the feature Lilting this month. Lumen is a super cute movie theater that’s located on a lively square full of terrasjes (this is a European phenomenon without accurate translation) and with a giant lamp shade at the center, so I recommend everyone to go check it out! See showtimes for If. here.  On top of the lovely compliments I received from the audience at the Q&A, the Delft screenings of If. also received some press! Check the articles below the cut…

Interview With Dutch Sp!ts Newspaper

spitsBecause I’m like, so famous, there was a little interview with me about life in Hollywood as a foreigner in a Dutch newspaper today. It’s kind of nice and nostalgic though, since I used to read this newspaper all the time when I was a student in Amsterdam. On the train, in the tram… It’s a fun idea that my friends and family that use the ever reliable public transportation in Holland today, get to see this. Makes me feel a little bit closer to them! Anyway, you can read the translated interview behind the cut. Or if you speak Dutch, read the original interview here!
